Hi Everybody,

In consideration of the public health concerns related to COVID-19, we will not be hosting services, at Connection Church this weekend. We know this virus is primarily spread through close contact, and we are committed to helping you and your loved ones stay healthy.

If someone asks why your church chose to respond to this health crisis by closing its doors, here's our response:

   • We are loving our neighbors by protecting our neighbors.

   • We are not being fearful. We are being responsible.

   • This is what love requires of us in this season.

Sunday's message will be available online at 10 a.m. on our website under the watch button. You can also find us on youtube on our Connection Church page. For our church family that would like to

contribute financially, you can do so electronically by clicking this link: Connection Church Give.

We will continue to monitor the situation and hope to resume normal gatherings at Connection Church as soon as possible. As the situation changes, we'll use our Facebook page to share any updates about the effect of coronavirus on our gatherings. We will also be updating you this week about some changes we will make as we resume services to ensure you and your loved one's health and wellness are our top priority.

Some final thoughts, each Sunday, we talk about how who we are as followers of Jesus is not just about how we gather on a Sunday but how we live our lives the other six days of the week. So be wise and educate yourself. Take the necessary precautions and avoid foolish risks. The CDC has lots of information to help you be proactive and stay healthy. And if worry and anxiety start to creep in during these times of uncertainty, remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1: 7).

We also have been given this promise that the peace that Jesus carried He gave to us (John 14:27). So, let's continue to be wise in caring for our families, to trust that God is in control, and to pray for peace and healing in our communities.

Pastor Chris
